We are delighted to once again be running this popular apprenticeship which will be via the Business Administrator Apprenticeship Level 3 standard. This apprenticeship will be starting in November 2026. This programme is fully funded by the Employers’ Apprenticeship Levy.


This apprenticeship will provide you with leadership training for a formal qualification and covers the key competencies that new leaders in schools need to successfully lead a team. It equips learners with the ability to effectively manage a team, plan and monitor workloads/ resources and build professional relationships. The programme is designed to develop the skills and obtain the knowledge necessary to become an effective leader.


Programme Overview

This apprenticeship offers practical leadership training with a nationally recognised qualification. it is designed for support staff taking on new leadership responsibilities, helping you grow the confidence and knowledge to successfully step into a leadership role.

  • Team management: Lead and motivate your team effectively.

  • Workload & Resource Planning: Organise tasks and manage resources with confidence.

  • Professional Relationship Building: Build strong and positive workplace connections.


Eligibility Criteria

To participate in the programme, you must:

  • Be a leader within your organisation either recently appointed or have no previous leadership training

  • Have lived in the UK/EEA for the past 3 years and work mainly in England

  • Be employed in a school and have the support of your Principal

  • Hold an employment contract covering the full programme (15+ months)


Duration

12 month programme with a 3 month assessment period.
